Huawei has now reportedly started sending out invites for a launch event in Munich on October 16 and all signs point that the company will be unveiling its Mate 10 smartphone. While the company has not mentioned anything about the smartphone on the teaser itself, we already know some things about the Huawei Mate 10 through leaks and information provided by the company itself. Separately, a new render of the smartphone has also surfaced on the Internet.
On its launch teaser, shared by 9To5Google, the company says "Meet the device worth waiting for" and there is shadow of numeral 10 in the background. Separately, the alleged renders of Huawei Mate 10 have now been shared on Chinese website Weibo that show the bezel-less display of the smartphone in all its glory.
The new renders of the Huawei Mate 10 have suggested that the smartphone will have minimum bezels at top and bottom of the display, much like Galaxy S8 models, and that it will feature a dual camera setup in vertical orientation. The user who shared the renders has also tipped that the smartphone will house a battery with more than 4000mAh capacity and pack 6GB of RAM. The smartphone has been said to be priced around CNY 4,000 (roughly Rs. 38,500).
To recall, Huawei CEO confirmed last month that the company's upcoming Mate 10 smartphone will come with a bezel-less display - later tipped to be called an 'EntireView' display - and it will compete with iPhone 8, which is also heavily rumoured to feature a near bezel-less display. Earlier in the month it was reported that the Mate 10 will come with facial recognition, support for AR, and could have 3D sensing as well.
Notably, the Huawei Mate 10 has also been tipped to come with iris scanning feature and is expected to be powered by Huawei's HiSilcon Kirin 970 SoC, which will be based on the 10nm fabrication process.
The Huawei Mate 10 is expected to sport a 6-inch (1080x2160 pixels) display with a taller-than-usual aspect ratio of 18:9, which will be identical to the LG G6 and close to that of the Galaxy S8. In terms of optics, the Huawei Mate 10 is said to offer Leica-branded lenses, just like in the case of Mate 9.
