Apart from Huawei Honor 6, the company also launched the MediaPad Honor T1, priced at Rs. 9,999. Like the smartphone, the new Huawei tablet will be also exclusively available via Flipkart. The MediaPad Honor T1 will, however, go on sale starting October 10.
Initially unveiled for the Chinese market, the Huawei Honor 6 runs the recent Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS with the company's Emotion UI 2.3.
The Honor 6 smartphone unveiled in India offers single-SIM support. It feature a 5-inch JDI full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) in-cell display, translating to a pixel density of 445ppi. An octa-core Hi Silicon Kirin 920 processor powers the device with Mali T628 GPU. The company had detailed at global launch that the Honor 6 utilises the Big.LITTLE architecture with 4xA15 1.7GHz + 4xA7 1.3GHz. It includes 3GB of RAM, like some of the high-end smartphones such as Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Sony Xperia Z3.
The new Huawei smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash, BSI sensor, and f2.0 aperture while there is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
The smartphone comes with 16GB of inbuilt storage, and can be expanded via microSD card. It supports Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, GPRS/EDGE and 3G connectivity options. The Honor 6 is backed by a 3100mAh battery.
