Huawei has expanded its Honor smartphone series and introduced two new mid-range smartphones, the Honor 3C 4G and Honor 3X Pro, in China.

The company has announced that both the new Huawei Honor smartphones will be up for pre-order starting Saturday, while will be available on June 5. For now, no details about global availability have been released.

Unwiredview reports that Huawei Honor 3C 4G will be available in two variants - one with 1GB of RAM and 8GB inbuilt storage priced at CNY 998 (Rs. 9,350 approximately), and the other with 2GB of RAM and 16GB inbuilt storage at CNY 1298 (Rs. 12,100 approximately). The Huawei Honor 3X Pro has been priced at CNY 1698 (Rs. 15,900 approximately).

Notably, the Honor 3C 4G is a LTE-enabled variant of the Honor 3C launched at Rs. 14,999 in India.

The Honor 3C 4G, unlike its 3G variant that runs dated Android 4.2.2, runs the latest Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box with Emotion 2.3 UI. It comes with a 5-inch (720x1280 pixels) HD LTPS display, and offers a pixel density of 312ppi. It is powered by 1.6GHz quad-core Kirin 910 processor coupled with Mali-450 GPU, seemingly better than the Honor 3C's 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek (MT6582) processor with a Mali 400 GPU.

As mentioned above, the Honor 3C 4G comes in two storage variants and supports expandable storage (via microSD card); however, no word on maximum storage capacity. Much like the 3G variant, Honor 3C 4G sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and BSI sensor, while there is a secondary 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The smartphone packs a 2300mAh battery.

Huawei Honor 3X Pro, on the other hand, runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with Emotion 2.0 UI on top. There is no word whether the smartphone is upgradeable to Android 4.4 KitKat or not. The smartphone supports dual-SIM functionality with dual standby.

It comes with a 5.5-inch (1080x1920 pixels) HD IPS LTPS display. The Honor 3X Pro is powered by 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek (MT6592) processor alongside Mali 450-MP4 GPU and 2GB of RAM.

The Honor 3X Pro comes with 16GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable up to 32GB via microSD. On the connectivity front, the Honor 3X Pro includes 3G, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth options.

The smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and Sony BSI sensor, while also houses a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The phablet packs a 3000mAh battery.
