Huawei has released the refreshed version of its super-slim Ascend P6, dubbed Ascend P6 S, featuring a slightly less sleek profile apart from slightly tweaked specifications.
Huawei Ascend P6 S is priced at CNY 2,700 (roughly Rs. 27,000), and for now is only available on Vmall, Huawei's own online store in China.
The smartphone runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, coated with Huawei's native Emotion UI 2.0. It also features dual-SIM support. Huawei Ascend P6 S bears a 4.7-inch LCD touchscreen with a 720 x 1280 pixel resolution, similar to P6 handset. The screen is said to be super sensitive, and also recognizes glove touch input.
The Ascend P6 S is powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core processor, slightly better than the Ascend P6's 1.5GHz quad-core, which is paired with 2GB RAM.

Camera features are also shared with those found in Ascend P6. The Ascend P6 S features the same 8-megapixel rear camera with flash and 5-megapixel front-facing camera for video calling.
Huawei Ascend P6 S will come with 16GB storage and is non-expandable as mentioned on the firm's official online store. The connectivity options include standard 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS/A-GPS connectivity. However, the handset misses out on LTE connectivity just like P6.
The Huawei Ascend P6 S features the same 2,000mAh battery capacity, and is slightly thicker at 6.5mm, compared to the Ascend P6's 6.18mm profile. The smartphone is available in Black and White colour variants.
Recently, Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei, announced three new HPM processors - a quad-core offering, and two octa-core chips, one of which is a 64-bit processor.
