Huawei has announced quad-core powered Ascend D, calling it "the world's fastest smartphone". The phone is powered by Huawei's own K3V2 processor, capable of running at speeds upto 1.5 Ghz. It features a 4.5" screen, a 8-megapixel rear-camera that shoots full HD video and a 1.3-megapixel front-camera. The phone is less than a cm thick and weighs around 130 grams.
An 1800mAh battery powers the phone, which also features integrated 5.1 surround sound and built-in noise cancellation techniques.
Pricing and availability are yet to be confirmed by Huawei.
