HTC One X getting Android 4.0.4 update, brings Hindi & Tamil keyboard

HTC India is now releasing the Android 4.0.4 update for One X users in the country. The software update also brings the previously promised Hindi, Marathi and Tamil language support to the smartphone.

This update is available over-the-air and can be manually triggered by going to Settings > About > Software Updates. Dubbed as v 2.17.720.2, it is 142MB in size.

According to HTC, this software update also upgrades the Sense UI version on this flagship smartphone to 4.1.

  • Improved wallpaper visualization when moving between screens
  • Music improvements
  • Improved user experience with Beats audio, including auto detect headset profile, and easy on/off switching.
  • New SDK support for developers
  • Expanded SDK support for developers including, a Media Link SDK and framework for video call apps
  • Hindi, Tamil, Marathi keyboard Support

Originally announced at Mobile World Congress this year, HTC One X is company's flagship Android phone. It is also set to get the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, but update time-schedule is not clear right now.
