HTC One price outed by UK retailer, expected to ship March 15

HTC has taken the wraps of its new flagship smartphone HTC One at a simultaneous event in New York and London. The smartphone is available on pre-order now in United Kingdom and will likely start retailing from March 15. As per previous rumours, it was being touted that HTC One will be available in UK from March 8 but guess the Taiwanese maker has pushed availability date by a week.

As for the price, only Clove Mobile has shared unlocked price for HTC One. The shopping site is quoting a price of 425 pounds plus VAT for this smartphone (510 pounds including VAT). This is in line with what CNET UK had predicted for this smartphone. The website was expecting the unlocked HTC One to cost 500 pounds, as HTC One X was offered at this price a year ago.

Apart from Clove, HTC One is also being offered through Vodafone, Phone4u, EE online shop, Three amongst others under various bundle plans.

The Taiwanese smartphone maker will be offering its HTC One smartphone through T-Mobile, AT&T and Sprint in US. It is noteworthy, that currently Verizon is selling HTC Droid DNA in USA but so far there is no news whether this operator will offer HTC One or not.

Just to recap HTC One features a 4.7-inch screen with 1080p display. It is powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor along with 2GB of RAM. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/ac/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, NFC, Infrared and Micro-USB. The smartphone runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) along with a brand new Sense UI.

HTC One will be available in 32GB and 64GB storage options, but there is no option to expand the storage.

There has been a lot of buzz around the HTC One camera, as the company has ditched the conventions megapixel in favour of something that the company is dubs UltraPixel camera. There is a 2.1-megapxiel front camera on-board and a 2,300mAh battery.
