HTC One (M8) to Receive Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update From Thursday

Mo Versi, the HTC Vice President of Product Management, on Wednesday announced that Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for HTC One (M8) unlocked handsets will start rolling out in the US from Thursday.

The announcement came via a Twitter post that stated, "HTC One (M8) unlocked owners! Great news, all testing has been complete and the update for Marshmallow will be sent out within 24 hours. Thx." When asked about the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for HTC M9 handsets, Versi said the update is being readied and will be arriving soon. He further tweeted that the company is closely working with the carrier-based models of the One (M8) and will try to roll it out "as soon as possible."

In the meanwhile, as per a reliable HTC tipster named LlabTooFeR, the Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Sense 7.0 update for HTC One (M8) will be reaching in Europe in couple of weeks. The update will bring the build number of the handset to 6.12.401.x.
