HTC has unveiled Desire 610 smartphone at MWC 2014, where the company also announced the Desire 816 smartphone. The HTC Desire 610 is part of the mid-range segment, and while the price of the handset is not yet known, reports peg the phone's Europe launch to be as early as May.

Running Android 4.4 KitKat, the HTC Desire 610 features a 4.7-inch qHD (540 x 960 pixels) display with a pixel density of 234 ppi.

Under the hood, the Desire 610 bears a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor paired with 1GB of RAM. It features 8GB of built-in storage, with no word on the storage expansion limit.

The HTC Desire 610 features an 8-megapixel f/2.4 rear camera, and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing shooter, which can also capture 720p videos.

The Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC (optional), and 4G LTE connectivity is also available with the mid-range Desire 610 smartphone. The device comes with HTC's proprietary BoomSound functionality with stereo speakers, alongside a 2040mAh battery.

Also launched at MWC 2014, was the HTC Desire 816, which is the first HTC device to incorporate a Nano-SIM instead of a Micro-SIM card. While HTC Desire 816's price and availability are still being kept as a secret, we do know that the smartphone will sport a 5.5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels resolution) display and be powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 SoC processor paired with 1.5GB of RAM.

It will come with 8GB of internal storage with support for microSD cards up to 128GB, which may just be the highest expandable memory capacity handled by a smartphone. There's no word on the Android version on the smartphone, though HTC did confirm the presence of a brand new HTC Sense 5.5 UI on top.
