PC-Tablet citing people familiar with the matter claims that Huawei will unveil the Honor Holly 2 Plus on January 28 alongside the Honor 5X (seen above). According to the report, the Honor Holly 2 Plus will feature a polycarbonate build and will not pack features such as fingerprint scanner.
For specifications, the Honor Holly 2 Plus is said to feature a 5-inch IPS HD (720x1280 pixels) display; 1.3GHz quad-core processor; 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of inbuilt storage which will be expandable up to 128GB via microSD. The smartphone will sport a 13-megapixel rear camera; 5-megpixel front camera, and pack a 4000mAh battery. The dual-SIM Honor Holly 2 Plus is said to support dual 4G SIMs. Unfortunately, the sources had no information regarding the price of the Honor Holly 2 Plus smartphone.
We will have to wait for the company's confirmation about the handset's launch.
We already know that Honor 5X will be one of the biggest highlights of the launch event on January 28. To recall, the Honor 5X was initially unveiled in China back in October and was launched in two variants - with 2GB RAM and 3GB RAM, priced at CNY 999 (roughly Rs. 10,200) and CNY 1,399 (roughly Rs. 14,300) respectively.
The dual-SIM (Micro-SIM and Nano-SIM) dual-4G standby Honor 5X runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with the Emotion UI 3.1 skin on top.
It features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) resolution IPS display; powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC; 16GB inbuilt storage; expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB); 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash; 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture; 3000mAh battery, and supports Quick Charge 3.0.
