Huawei Terminal brand Honor has launched its latest budget smartphone, the Honor Bee 2, in India. Priced at Rs. 7,499, the Honor Bee 2 smartphone will be available in Black, Gold, and White colours. The company has announced that the Honor Bee 2 will be available across 20,000 retail stores in the country indicating that it may be offline exclusive. The smartphone offers VoLTE support, and comes with 15-months service warranty.
The Honor Bee 2 is the successor to the company's Honor Bee smartphone, which was launched in 2015. The all-new Honor Bee 2 features a 'Rainbow' light which is a circular ring around the rear camera, and which glows when there's call, message, or any other notifications on the device. Apart from the Rainbow light, the handset also packs a dedicated Smart Key which can be customised to launch any app.
The Honor Bee 2 is likely to compete with the Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro which also comes with a similar Smart Glow LED-notification system.

The Smart Key offers customisation options for three gestures - press, double press, and press and hold - which can be assigned for quick access.
For specifications, the Honor Bee 2 features a 4.5-inch FWVGA (480x854 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB RAM. It packs 8GB inbuilt storage, and supports expandable storage via microSD card (up to 32GB). The dual-SIM device runs Emotion UI 3.1 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. It sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash and also features a 2-megapixel front camera. It measures 134.1x66.7x9.9mm and packs a 2100mAh battery. The handset supports standard connectivity options alongside 4G with VoLTE.
