One such customer got a mail from the retailer stating that his order could not be processed as Samsung has decided not to release the unit. (Update: Samsung says Galaxy S III 64 GB version coming later this year)
Samsung so far has not issued any official statement in regards to axing of this version. So, there is still a possibility that the company might launch it in select markets.
It will not be surprising if Samsung indeed scrapes off the 64GB version of Galaxy S III considering the smartphone features a microSD card slot for cheaper expansion, which supports up to 64GB of microSD cards. There would hardly be any customers who would want 128GB of storage in their smartphone (64GB internal+64GB card). There is also 50 GB of free Dropbox space that Samsung is offering.
The smartphone, which was announced in London on May 4, features 4.8-inch HD display, 8MP camera, S-Voice and 1.4GHz quad core processor.
