We have seen a steady stream of leaks for the rumoured Google Pixel 3 Lite. While Google is still tight-lipped about it, the rumour mills have been churning out leaks at a steady pace. Unlike the Google Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL, the Pixel 3 Lite and the Pixel 3 Lite XL are expected to cater to a lower price segment.
The latest Google Pixel 3 Lite leaks are CAD creations which could be from case manufacturers. Smartphone manufacturers usually hand out dummy units or detailed dimensions of their upcoming devices to case manufacturers. This is done to ensure accessories like cases are made to spec and are available when these devices go on sale.
This recent CAD leak of the Google Pixel 3 Lite does match some of the other leaks we have seen in the past. Shared by Slashleaks, the design is similar and so is the position of the camera module and the fingerprint scanner. Other elements like the position of the power and the volume buttons also align with the previous leaks. This CAD design also points to the 3.5mm headphone jack that is positioned on the top and a USB Type-C port at the bottom. The phone's dimensions are 151.3 x 70 x 8.2mm. But if you include the camera bump, the thickness goes up to 9mm. One thing that is different compared to the older leaks is the presence of a dual selfie camera setup while previous leaks pointed to a single selfie shooter.
Google's Pixel 3 Lite is rumoured to have a 5.56-inch full-HD+ (1080x2220 pixels) IPS panel with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio. It is said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 SoC with the Adreno 615 GPU, paired with 4GB RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage. The device could have a 12-megapixel primary shooter with an 8-megapixel selfie camera, a 2,915mAh battery along with support for Qualcomm's Quick Charge 4+.
So far, we have spotted the Pixel 3 Lite along with the Pixel 3 as well as the iPhone XR, iPhone XS, iPhone 5s, and the Nokia 3310. Compared to this, the Google Pixel 3 Lite XL is quite elusive. It is rumoured to have a bigger 6-inch full-HD+ display. This smartphone could be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC if we consider a recent ARCore APK teardown which points to this.
