The Google Pixel 2 XL is getting a temporary price cut in India and is now retailing at a best buy price of Rs. 64,999 for the 64GB variant and Rs. 73,999 for the Pixel 2 XL with 128GB storage. The pricing will be applicable for cash and card transactions at all authorised offline retailers. According to documents seen by Gadgets 360, the best buy offer is valid until December 31.
Apart from the new Pixel 2 XL price tag, an additional Rs. 8,000 cash back is being offered on all valid purchases of both Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL made on an HDFC credit card EMI plan, with select large format retailers also offering this cash back on purchases made with HDFC debit card. Airtel also has a special data bundle offer on purchase of the Google Pixel 2 XL; additional 120GB data for six months on prepaid recharges of Rs. 549 and postpaid plans of Rs. 649 and above. The data bundle will need to be activated through the My Airtel app. The exact terms and conditions are available on the Airtel website.
This is not the first instance when the Pixel 2 duo have received a price cut. Last week, Flipkart offered the Pixel 2 XL for a starting price of Rs. 67,999 (64GB variant) while the Pixel 2 was down to Rs. 49,999 (64GB variant).
The Google Pixel 2 XL is a single-SIM device that runs on the stock version of Android 8.0 Oreo. The smartphone has a 6.0-inch Quad-HD display with a resolution of 1440x2880 pixels. It is powered by a 1.9GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM.
In the camera department, the Google Pixel 2 XL sports a 12.2-megapixel rear sensor with dual-LED flash. On the front is an 8-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calling. The smartphone has internal storage of 64GB, which is not expandable externally. It also has a 3520mAh non-removable battery under the hood.
The Pixel 2 has similar specifications, except it has a 5-inch full-HD display and is powered by a 2700mAh battery.
