Motorola has announced that Google's latest Nexus-series smartphone, the Nexus 6, will be available in India once GOSF 2014 kicks off on Wednesday.

The company in a statement confirmed the exclusive launch of Nexus 6 (Review | Pictures) at Google's Great Online Shopping Festival (GOSF).

The now Lenovo-owned company said the Google Nexus 6 32GB variant will be available at Rs. 43,999 in India, while the 64GB variant will come at Rs. 48,999. Motorola also announced special offers on Flipkart to customers, such as a free three-month subscription to Flipkart First; a smartphone exchange offer that can give a discount of up to Rs. 10,000, Rs. 1,500 cashback on purchasing on six-month to 12-month EMI schemes via HDFC or ICICI banks, and pre-selected Flipkart ebooks worth Rs. 2,100 for free.

Announcing the news, Amit Boni, General Manager, Motorola India, said, "We are humbled by the response we received in India for Moto X. And today, we are delighted to announce the launch of Nexus 6 in India with gosf.in. The Nexus 6 brings with it Better multitasking capabilities, Helpful notifications and Beautiful design enhancing the user experience and style quotient. We are confident that the Indian consumer will enjoy our latest offering."

We can expect Google to begin taking pre-order for Nexus 6 smartphone via its Google Play's Device section starting Wednesday as part of the company's third edition of the Great Online Shopping Festival (GOSF).

To refresh, the Google Nexus 6, manufactured by Motorola, comes with a 5.96-inch QHD (1440x2560 pixels) display at a pixel density of 493ppi. It is powered by a 2.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor alongside 3GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel rear and front cameras respectively. Other specifications include 3220mAh battery; 184 grams weight, and 159.26x82.9x10.06mm.

The Nexus 6 is also the platform lead device of the most recent version of Android i.e. Android 5.0 Lollipop, which comes with a fresh look thanks to Material Design and a host of new features.
