The White version of the Google Nexus 4 has seen various leaks in the past. After being first
spotted on the web in January the device was again spotted during Google I/O.
After that, in a recent leak, Android Police has
published press photographs of the White variant. The presence of press photographs indicates the possibility of an official launch. The Google flagship device is seen with a White back with a similar pattern as on the Black version. Based on the pictures, the front of the smartphone is still Black and hence the overall look of the device is in a dual tone.
People who have been waiting for a 32GB variant look to be in for disappointment as according to reports, the device will come in only 8GB and 16GB versions only, just like the Black one. LTE support is still not expected to be incorporated. Though there is a different colour, even after seven months since the phone's launch, no major hardware changes are expected.
As
reported earlier, the White Nexus 4 is expected to appear on the Google Play Store on June 10th alongside Android 4.3. With Android 4.3 recently being
spotted in Thailand and these press images being leaked, it won't really be a surprise if both the announcements come together.
The Google Nexus 4 manufactured by LG, is the Google flagship smartphone in the market today. It was first announced in October 2012 and went on sale on November 13, 2012. It boasts a 4.7-inch screen with 768x1280 pixel resolution. Powered by a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor and 2GB RAM, the phone runs the latest version of Android. It comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 1.3-megapixel front camera and a 2,100mAh battery. With limited storage options of 8GB and 16GB and no option of expansion through a microSD slot, storage on the device can be a concern.
The smartphone was also recently
launched in India with a pricing of Rs 25,999.
