Gionee has expanded its smartphone portfolio and launched the F103 Pro in India. The smartphone is priced at Rs. 11,999, and is available through its India website.
The Gionee F103 Pro is the successor of the Gionee F103 smartphone launched in September under the 'Make In India' initiative, and is part of the Gionee 'Fashion' series. The F103 Pro receives many spec upgrades from its predecessor, and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based Amigo 3.1UI with dual-SIM dual standby support. It features a 5-inch HD (1280x720 pixels) IPS in-cell display with pixel density of 294ppi. Furthermore, it is protected with a 2.5D glass on top. The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek MT6735 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz, paired with 3GB of RAM.
Optics include a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and PDAF with a claim to focus in as little as 0.1 seconds. There is a 5-megapixel front camera with beauty filters to enhance selfies. The Gionee F103 Pro offers 16GB of inbuilt storage, which can be further expanded via microSD card (up to 128GB). The smartphone packs a 2400mAh battery, which is claimed to offer up to 20 hours of talk time, and 470 hours of standby time.
Connectivity options on the Gionee F103 Pro include 4G LTE along with VoLTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 GPS, USB, OTG, and microUSB 2.0 port. The device measures 145.3x70.5x8.5mm and weighs 143 grams.
With its price and specs, the Gionee F103 Pro is set to compete with the Oppo A37 launched last month in India. The smartphone comes with a similar price tag.
