HTC M7 is the subject of yet another leak, one that contradicts some of the earlier rumours.
The latest leak comes courtesy HTC Source and it states that the HTC M7 will sport a design similar to the HTC Droid DNA with an all-black shell and a "very nice looking beveled edge" along the screen. This is in contradiction with the earlier rumours that suggested a unibody aluminium shell. Similarly, another earlier rumour debunked is that the HTC M7 will feature on-screen buttons.
Perhaps the most interesting bit of information in the report is on the software side. The report claims that M7 has been spotted running Android 4.1.2 but it will likely be updated to Android 4.2 launch. But that's not the interesting bit. According to the report, the phone has been running a "simple and clean" version of HTC Sense, likely to known as HTC Sense 5.0.
We've seen HTC tone down its customisation with the recent Sense versions and are excited to see if HTC Sense 5.0 indeed comes close to the "pure Android experience".
With no fresh rumours regarding the specifications, let's recap what we've heard earlier. HTC M7 will likely feature 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor with 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The cameras are 13-megapixel (rear) and 2-megapixel (front), both capable of recording full-HD video. Connectivity options in the HTC M7 reportedly include LTE and Wi-Fi with 802.11ac support, which (theoretically) boasts of speeds up to 3 times that of 802.11n.
