Asus has unveiled its new ZenFone Pegasus 3 smartphone in China. The handset will come in two variants based on RAM and storage - CNY 1,299 (approximately Rs. 13,000) for the 2GB RAM and 16GB storage model and CNY 1,499 (approximately Rs. 15,000) for the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage model. Both the Asus ZenFone Pegasus 3 variants will go on sale via official Asus store in China. No details about the international availability were shared by Asus.
The metal-clad ZenFone Pegasus 3 features a hybrid SIM card slot, which means users get one slot for the Nano-SIM and another slot for either a second Nano-SIM or a microSD card.
It features a 5.2-inch (720x1280 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor. The handset runs ZenUI 3.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and sports a fingerprint scanner on the back panel.
The 4G-enabled Asus ZenFone Pegasus 3 sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and f/2.2 aperture and also packs a 5-megapixel front camera. The Asus ZenFone Pegasus 3 also supports VoLTE (voice over LTE) with HD voice call compatibility. The official Asus store confirms that the handset supports Indian LTE bands.
It measures 149.5x73.7x8.5mm and comes with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, and Micro-USB connectivity options. It is backed by a 4100mAh battery.
Last month, Asus at its Zenvolution event had unveiled the new ZenFone 3 series including the ZenFone 3, ZenFone 3 Deluxe, and ZenFone 3 Ultra - varying in different sizes and specifications.
