Prior to the ZenFone 2 Laser (ZE601KL), Asus started the sale of another ZenFone 2 Laser variant back in October, including the ZenFone 2 Laser 5.5, priced at Rs. 13,999.
The ZenFone 2 Laser (ZE601KL) supports dual-SIM dual standby and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop-based ZenUI. It features a 6-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) IPS display and sports scratch resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 4.
The handset is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 (MSM8939) coupled with 3GB of RAM. The ZenFone 2 Laser (ZE601KL) packs 16GB of built-in storage and supports expandable storage via microSD card (up to 128GB). Connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS, Glonass, GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, and Micro-USB. The smartphone also supports Indian 4G LTE bands. The company touts that the ZenFone 2 Laser supports download speeds up to 150Mbps.
It measures 164.5x84x10.5mm and weighs 190 grams. The handset is backed by a 3000mAh Li-Polymer battery. It sports a 13-megapixel rear autofocus camera with f2.0 aperture and LED flash. There is a 5-megapixel front camera as well. It comes with an accelerometer, e-compass, gyroscope, proximity light, and ambient light.
To recall, Asus initially launched the ZenFone 2 Laser (ZE601KL) back in August in India. The company has been steadily pushing its ZenFone 2 smartphones in the market.
