The short clip comes with the tagline 'Landing on September 17th' on the official site and only stretches up to 8 seconds. The teaser video is titled as 'Asus Padfone - The Future' and shows a rocket launch with countdown. The video also reveals both the tablet and the expected Padfone Infinity smartphone, which has only been spotted in leaks until now.
Earlier, Asus sent an invite for press event to be held on September 17 in Taipei. The company with this confirmed it will launch the refreshed Padfone Infinity at the event. The invite sent by the Taiwanese vendor reveals that 'the new Padfone Infinity' will be unveiled and company's CEO Jerry Shen will host the event. The invite provided little in the way of details related to the smartphone-tablet-hybrid which is expected to look quite similar to the current Padfone Infinity.
There have been rumours about the Asus Padfone Infinity successor for a while, reports that suggest the device will sport a full-HD display with 1080x1920 pixels resolution; however there is no word about the size of the display, yet. The smartphone-tablet hybrid is thought to be codenamed PadFone T004 and run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. The device is likely to include expandable storage and a noise-cancelling microphone.
