Asus has announced that 1,00,000 units of its ZenFone smartphones (ZenFone 4, ZenFone 5, and ZenFone 6) will go on sale starting Friday via Flipkart and other retail channels.

Additionally, Asus also revealed that it sold 2,80,000 ZenFone units in India in Q3. Last month, the Taiwanese company had claimed that the India sales of its ZenFone smartphone series would surpass 2,00,000 units by the end of the month.

Flipkart on Thursday teased the availability of all four colour variants of the ZenFone 5 smartphone on Twitter.

Notably, the Taiwanese company had earlier this month had made another 1,00,000 ZenFone smartphone units available via Flipkart.

The company on Thursday stressed in a statement, "Earlier this month, the company had already announced the availability of 1 lakh units to add to the festivity which received tremendous response. Furthering to the same and in view of much higher demands, ASUS has again bought 1 lakh units to the market [Friday]."

The ZenFone 6 (Review | Pictures) on the other hand has been priced at Rs. 16,999 for its 16GB storage variant.
