After releasing the third developer beta for its platforms earlier this week, Apple on Thursday released its second public beta for iOS 10 as well as macOS Sierra. The new public beta includes a host of new features and is available to those who have signed up for Apple's Public Beta Program under which company allows you to test its upcoming platform before its full-fledged release.
The second public beta brings most of the features that were rolled out to developers earlier this week. The second public beta brings along bug fixes as well as performance improvements along with it. With the third developer beta for iOS, Apple listened to its customer feedback over the feature where the users were asked to press home button to unlock their device instead of merely resting their finger on the home button, as was the case before.
Apple initially brought this feature so that users can make full use of all the changes that it made to the lock screen but now, it has provided an option in Accessibility tab that allows you to unlock your just by placing your finger on the home button, without actually pressing it. The iOS update also brings the Siri Support section to the Settings tab, allowing you to see the third party apps that have access to Siri.
As we mentioned, the second public beta for iOS 10 brings several other minor tweaks and bug fixes to the supported iOS devices. On the other hand, the second macOS Sierra public beta doesn't seem to bring along any major changes to the platform but fixes some minor bugs and issues.
iOS 10 and macOS Sierra, which were announced at WWDC 2016, will be fully released this fall and the iOS update contains a fully revamped iMessages app, Apple Music app, Photos app, and many other tweaks to the features that are already available on the platform.
