While Apple's iOS 11 release cannot be termed smooth as there were some problems that users started facing post the upgrade, the Cupertino-based company is already working towards fixing these issues. Apple has now started rolling out iOS 11.0.1 update and the company says that with this update, it has fixed the issue where certain users were not able to send emails through their Outlook.com or Exchange mail account using the iOS 11 Mail app.
Apple released the iOS 11.0.1 update on Tuesday and while the company didn't mention other specific details in the update description, it did say that it carries performance improvements and other fixes. The iOS 11 update reportedly brought about battery life issues to the device running Apple's latest software but notably prevented some users from sending emails.
On its website's support page, Apple says, "If your email account is hosted by Microsoft on Outlook.com or Office 365, or an Exchange Server 2016 running on Windows Server 2016, you might see this error message when you try to send an email with iOS 11: "Cannot Send Mail. The message was rejected by the server."
While this issue was acknowledged by the company, the page now says that this problem can be solved by updating the iOS device to iOS 11.0.1. It is good to see that the company has jumped into action quickly after acknowledging the issue but it still remains to be seen if battery life woes will be solved by this update or we will have to wait for another update from the company.
