The survey, carried out by American online dating website AYI.com (Are You Interested?) used the site's dating records to find out if a person's phone had an effect on their love life. And according to the site, Apple users are contacted 17 percent more often than Android users.
To get this data, the site looked at 2.4 million mobile app downloads in the United States, across platforms, and examined nearly 20 million interactions between users. Of course, given that this is self-submitted data given to a dating site, it's not verified information and can't be seen as a scientific study.
Still, there is a lot of information that the site collects, thanks to which they've earlier carried out similar surveys on the impact of things like ethnicity, income and even height on their dating success, so the findings are interesting, even if they need to be taken with a pinch of salt.
