While replying to a user, LG India said, "The Lollipop update for LG G2 is expected in Q2 2015. Stay tuned!" It's worth noting the Android 5.0 Lollipop update was rolled out to LG G3 users in India in December last year.
Considering that this comes directly from LG India, LG G2 users in the country can expect the update will indeed be rolling out. Some of the other 2013 flagships like HTC One received the Android 5.0 Lollipop update in December while Sony confirmed that Android Lollipop update for Sony's Xperia Z1 will receive the update soon without revealing an exact time frame. Sony earlier this year also confirmed that the entire Sony Xperia Z lineup will receive the Android Lollipop.
To recall, LG G2 was launched in 2013 running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box. The handset received the Android 4.4 KitKat update last year in March.
LG's G2 was the first smartphone from the company that featured the power buttons and the volume rocker at the back of the phone, below the rear camera, instead of the sides of the phone, as is usually the case.
