Alcatel's new X1 smartphone is now available online in India via few third-party retailers. Priced at Rs. 15,999, the Alcatel X1 is now available to buy via online retailers though the company is yet to make any official announcement.
The biggest highlight of the X1 smartphone is it supports eye-biometric system dubbed Eye-D that unlocks the device without touching it. The Android 5.1 Lollipop-based Alcatel X1 supports dual-SIM (Micro-SIM + Nano-SIM). It features a 5-inch Super Amoled HD (720x1280 pixels) display. The handset is powered by an octa-core (quad-core 1.4GHz + quad-core 1GHz) Qualcomm Snapdragon 415 (MSM8929) paired with 2GB of RAM. There is 16GB of storage and the device supports expandable storage via microSD card (up to 128GB).
The handset supports 4G LTE connectivity apart from other connectivity options including GPRS/ EDGE, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth, and Micro-USB. It supports LTE Cat 4 with download speeds of up to 150Mbps and up to 50Mbps upload speed. The Alcatel X1 sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual tone LED flash and f/2.0 aperture. The handset also packs a 5-megapixel front camera with LED flash.
It is backed by a 2150mAh battery which can deliver up to 19 hours of talk time and up to 74 hours of standby time. The Alcatel X1 measures 145x69.2x6.9mm and weighs 140 grams. The Alcatel X1 is now available online via Amazon India and Flipkart.
TCL Communication-owned brand Alcatel earlier this month launched the Pop Star smartphone in India. Priced at Rs. 6,999, the all-new Alcatel Pop Star was exclusively available via Gadgets 360, in Metal Gold and Metal Silver colours.
