The Acer Liquid Z3 features a 3.5-inch HVGA display with a resolution of 320x480 pixels. It is powered by a 1.7GHz dual-core processor with 512MB RAM. It comes with 4GB internal storage and supports microSD card. The device runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and supports dual SIM (GSM+GSM) functionality. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3G with HSPA+ support and Micro-USB. The device sports a 3-megapixel rear camera. It comes with a measurement of 109x60x10.4mm and weighs 120 grams. It also includes a 1500mAh battery
On the Liquid Z3, Allen Burnes, vice-president, smartphone division, Acer Europe said, "While much of the industry is trending toward larger and more complex devices, we believe there's also a whole lot of room for thinking small and simple. Liquid Z3 bridges the gap for a new generation of smartphone users, providing they really can have it all without sacrificing the size and simplicity they want."
The Acer Liquid Z3 also features Quick Mode profiles that the company claims is targeted at different user and age groups. There is Basic Mode which is targeted for youngsters and is optimised for calls and text messages. It also includes a Senior Mode which comes optimised for use for senior citizens with features like magnification, quick call contacts and radio. The Classic mode is for first time smartphone users with all main functions in a simple and organised layout. Last of the lot is Keypad mode which is for people who primarily use voice and need their keypad right away.
The handset will be available in two colours, Rock Black and Classic White.
