Acer has announced the launch of Liquid E1 and Liquid Z2 dual-SIM smartphones. Company confirmed plans to showcase both phones at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC).
Acer Liquid E1 comes with 4.5-inch qHD display, dual-core processor, dual speakers with DTS sound and a dual-SIM option. The phone comes with what Acer is calling the Float Caller notification that will pop up for incoming calls or messages when someone is using apps or watching videos.
Liquid E1 also features a camera that supports clicking up to 16 photos in burst mode.
Acer Liquid Z2 is an entry-level smartphones that comes with a 1GHz processor and offers choice of 3-megapixel or 5-megapixel camera and a dual-SIM option. It comes with a 3.5-inch HVGA screen.
Both phones run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and come with AcerCloud, Acer's own cloud-based file and media sharing solution.
The Liquid E1 and Liquid Z2 will be available to buy in France, Belgium, Netherlands and Ukraine followed by Russia, UK and Italy. According to
Engadget, the Liquid E1 will be in the euros 199 to 229 range, while the Z2 should cost between euros 99 and 129.
Earlier this month, Acer had announced the launch of Liquid C1 smartphone powered by Intel's Atom Z2420 chipset in Thailand.
