Acer announces budget Android smartphones - Liquid Gallant, Liquid Gallant Duo

Acer has officially announced two new budget smartphones Liquid Gallant and Liquid Gallant Duo. These smartphones will be available starting next month in markets across the world.

Acer Liquid Gallant and Liquid Gallant Duo are basically the same device apart from the fact that the latter comes with dual-SIM connectivity. Other features include Android 4.0, 4.3-inch display with qHD display, 1GHz MT6575 processor, 1GB RAM, and 1500 mAh battery.

The smartphones also sport enhanced Surround Sound, which brings a premium clear and loud sound experience to the users. Acer has also skinned the Android experience on the devices by adding several tweaks to unlock screen and notification area. Company has also pre-loaded Swype keyboard on the smartphones.

According to the company, the smartphones will be available in "Gentle Black" and "Ceramic White" colours.

"This new Acer smartphone mission is quite simple: bring the best experience to all the modern days' explorers, which results in creating a very affordable phone with no compromise on performance and usability" said Allen Burnes, SPBG EMEA Vice President.
