Tech Deals of the Week: iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, Cameras, Speakers, and More

This week's best tech deals give you a chance to grab the all-new iPhone 6 or the iPhone 6 Plus on a sweet EMI scheme (at a discount, of course), add a full HD monitor to your workstation, impress everyone with a 5.1 surround sound system, or throw away your old printer for a brand new wireless one. 1. Canon PIXMA MG5670 all-in-one wireless printer
Amazon has just launched its office and stationary supplies store today, and as an introductory offer it is selling the Canon PIXMA MG5670 all-in-one printer at a discount. The wireless printer is exclusive to Amazon, and is now available for Rs. 7,700 (regular Rs. 8,500). The PIXMA MG5670 is compatible with Apple AirPrint, Google Cloud Print, PictBridge and the company's own Cloud Link based apps. The printer is capable of printing up to 8 coloured pages per minute, or 12 pages per minute for black and white (A4 sized). The printer uses PG-750 and CLI-751 ink cartridges from Canon. Overall, the Canon PIXMA MG5670 is a great all-in-one for your home or office requirements. The printer offers plenty of useful features, most of which are plug-and-play so that you don't spend more time setting up the printer than actually using the device.

2. Samsung NX Mini Smart Digital Cameras
Amazon has further discounted the Samsung NX Mini smart cameras down to Rs. 22,990 (MRP Rs. 33,900). This is the second major price cut on these digital cameras. The Samsung N Mini smart cameras have Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity, and come with a 3-inch flip-up LCD touchscreen, and a 16GB memory card. You can choose between the 9mm or the 9-27mm lens while buying, the latter will cost around Rs. 5,000 more than the base price. The Samsung NX Mini cameras include a 20.5MP BSI CMOS sensor that the company claims can take life-life pictures. The best things about these cameras are the in-built Wi-Fi and NFC chips which will let you easily share your photos. The cameras are quite slick at just 22.5mm thickness, and weigh around 158 grams. These cameras come with two-year manufacturer warranty.

3. iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus EMI offers on Infibeam
Infibeam is offering EMI-based offers on iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Using these offers you can pick up an iPhone 6 16GB for as low as Rs. 47,700 initially, when you select to pay using an 18-month EMI on supporting credit cards. If you pick a 12-month EMI, you can grab the iPhone 6 16GB for around Rs. 49,500. The biggest advantage of these EMI offers on Infibeam is that you can pick up an iPhone 6 at a lower initial cost. The obvious catch here is that each EMI offer also includes interest charges. But since Infibeam is offering a discount almost equal to the entire interest charged, the overall cost of ownership becomes pretty much the same.

Here's how it works:
Suppose you buy the iPhone 6 16GB elsewhere you end up paying Rs. 53,500 initially. You can then convert that sum into EMIs, and the interest will be charged on that amount. If you use Infibeam's 18-month EMI option you end up getting charged initially for Rs. 47,700 (discount of Rs. 5,800). This amount is then converted into EMIs, with total interest coming out to be Rs. 5,863. After 18 months you would have paid Rs. 53,563 which is pretty much the same price as the phone itself. So you ended up using an EMI offer, and paid almost no interest effectively.

4. Flipkart's Big App Shopping Days
Flipkart is not really keen on participating in the Great Online Shopping Festival (GOSF) this year. Instead, the company is looking to promote its mobile app. From 8th to 12th December, Flipkart will host a massive sale on its mobile app that will include deals on products from each category. These deals will be a combination of flash sales, deep discounts, and price drops on select items. In a way it'll be Flipkart's version of the Billion Day sale but on mobile. These offers will be available only on Flipkart's mobile apps on iOS, Android, and Windows Phone platforms.

Pro tip: If you're eyeing a product that is likely to receive a price drop during Flipkart's Big App Shopping Days, keep your Flipkart Wallet filled, and keep your addresses up to date so that you can checkout quickly. On the sale days, keep an eye out for the top offers, or simply browse through your wishlist to get to your favourite products before they're sold out.

5. Logitech Z506 surround sound 5.1 speakers
You can grab the Logitech Z506 5.1 speakers for Rs. 5,346 (regular Rs. 7,999) this week on Amazon. These Logitech speakers promise a surround sound experience with 3D stereo sound, powered by 75 watts of power, and a dedicated bass control. These speakers come with six-channel direct audio cables, four satellite speakers, and one centre satellite speakers. The Z506 is compatible with almost all types of devices you'd want to use them with. The Z506 also includes a down-firing subwoofer that offers deep bass, and amplification of low levels of sound to provide an enhanced audio experience to the user.

6. Dell S2240L 21.5-inch Full HD LED monitor
Looking to add an extra monitor to your setup? Or simply looking to replace your old monitor with a brand new one? The Dell S2240L 21.5-inch LED monitor can be a great choice. Snapdeal has the best price on the full-HD monitor this week, available for Rs. 8,390. The same monitor is selling for around Rs. 9,200 on Amazon, and Rs. 8,870 on Flipkart. The 21.5-inch LED monitor includes an IPS panel, and HDMI and VGA connectivity options. The laptop promises an ultra wide viewing angle, perfect for watching movies or playing games from a distance. The general user feedback on this particular model has been phenomenal so far. There's no reason why you should pick up any other full HD monitor in this price segment.

7. Canon EOS-M Mirrorless Camera
Flipkart is selling the EOS-M mirrorless camera with 18-55mm lens kit at a sweet price of Rs. 17,500 (MRP Rs. 34,995) this week. The camera includes an 18MP CMOS sensor, and a 3-inch LCD display to access user controls. The APS-C CMOS sensor in the camera is capable of taking some great pictures. The camera is slick as the viewfinder has been replaced with an LCD screen. The EOS-M also offers advanced HD recording, allowing users to record videos in 1080p, 720p, or even standard definition if needed.
