Beyond Online Deals: Festive Season Offers by Sony, Dell, HP, Bose, and Others

With the festival season in full swing across the country, its comes as no surprise that several tech companies have decided to join in the festivities with discounts on various products. While some have announced freebies such as accessories and extended warranty, others have slashed prices of their products. We've looked around the market to find some of the best festival offers for you and here are the best of these.

Bose
Audio brand Bose doesn't often discount its products. However, this festive season, the company has announced discounts on select products such as headphones via its retail outlets. Until October 25, there are also some other offers where you will get gifts like speakers, headphones and accessories free with different products. Dell
Dell is offering gifts on the purchase of Inspiron notebooks, Inspiron desktops, XPS laptops, Alienware, and Dell Venue tablets. These offers are valid on purchases made between September 20 and October 26, 2014. Those who buy Venue tablets will be offered a gift hamper worth Rs. 5,000, which includes a Bluetooth headset and a portable power bank. This offer may be availed on tablets purchased only from Dell Exclusive Stores, Croma and Reliance Outlets, Multi Brand Outlets, Dell Express Ship Affiliate - Compuindia, and from Dell Authorized Mobility retailers.

Those who purchase Dell Inspiron Laptops (Intel i3, i5, i7 and AMD A6), Desktops (Pentium Dual Core, i3, i5), XPS Laptops and Alienware products, will be offered an additional 2-year warranty (including next business day onsite warranty and 24/7 phone support, excluding accidental damage) and vouchers worth Rs. 3,000 for one of Peter England, Allen Solly, Van Heusen, World of Titan, or Jabong.com. This offer can be availed on purchasing any of the above products at Dell exclusive stores, multi brand retail stores, Reliance and Croma, Compuindia.com (Dell India's online shopping portal) as well as e-Commerce portals like Flipkart and Snapdeal.

For offer eligibility, customers are required to register at www.celebratedellse.com on or before November 7, 2014.

Sony
Sony is offering several freebies for those who purchase its Bravia TVs or Alpha range of cameras. Those who buy Bravia TVs get the following offers:

The festive offers from Asus include free accessories with the Fonepad 7. The company announced that those who buy the Fonepad 7 will get a free stand cover worth Rs. 1,599.

Karbonn
Karbonn's festive season offer is targeted at Aircel users. Aircel users who buy its Titanium S20 smartphone from Amazon.in will receive 500MB of data per month for three months.

HP
This festive season, HP is offering the following freebies on purchase of HP Pavilion x360 (Hybrid), HP Pavilion 14 and HP Pavilion 15 (Notebooks) from September 19 to October 31:

Voltas
Voltas is offering deals on its air-conditioner lineup. The company has announced that every customer who buys a Voltas AC during the festive season will get an "assured" gift via a scratch card. The prizes include cashbacks from Rs. 200 to Rs. 800, gifts such as a free installation voucher, stabilisers, water dispensers, apart from free ACs. Voltas has also announced an exchange offer, wherein customers can trade in their old ACs for a discount on a new Voltas AC. The company said it has tied up with certain financial institutions to offer zero down payment with no processing fee.

Telecom
MTS by Sistema Shyam TeleServices Limited (SSTL) has discounted the MBlaze Ultra Wi-Fi dongle from Rs. 1,499 to Rs. 999. Data packs are also cheaper at Rs. 999 for 40GB, Rs. 700 for 14GB and Rs. 550 per month for 10GB. Prepaid consumers can purchase the MTS MBlaze Ultra Wi-Fi dongle with 10GB of data bundled at Rs. 1,749, down from the regular price of Rs. 2,299. MTS has also introduced new prepaid data plans with 30-day validity. This includes 3GB data for Rs. 399, 5GB for Rs. 499, 7GB for Rs. 699 and 20GB for Rs. 999.

Tata Docomo has announced a "scratch and win" initiative for the festive season, valid until October 31. The company promises assured gifts for those who buy new postpaid connections. If you buy one of these from Tata Docomo brand stores, you will be given a scratch card. The company says "iPhones, tablets, data packages, discount coupons and more" are among the prizes.

BSNL also has promotional offers for the festive season. The state-run telecom operator has reduced video call rates to match voice call rates for 90 days, starting September 20. The operator is also offering full talk time on top-up of Rs. 100, Rs. 150, Rs. 250 and Rs. 350 and extra talk time on top-up of Rs. 550 (talk value Rs. 575) and Rs. 750 (talk value Rs. 790).
