Acquired soon after by Google, Motorola Mobility was sold to Lenovo in 2014. Motorola made its first Android smartphone in 2009, and its first Android tablet in 2011.
Motorola's latest mobile launch is the Edge 70 Pro. The mobile was launched in 22nd April 2026. The Motorola Edge 70 Pro is powered by octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme processor and it comes with 8GB of RAM. The phone packs 256GB of internal storage cannot be expanded. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro packs a 50-megapixel (f/1.8) + 50-megapixel (f/2.0) primary camera on the rear and a 50-megapixel (f/1.9) front shooter for selfies. The Motorola Edge 70 Pro runs Android 16 and is powered by a 6500mAh non removable battery. It measures 162.70 x 75.60 x 6.99 (height x width x thickness) and weigh 190.00 grams. The Motorola Edge 70 Pro is a dual SIM (GSM + CDMA) mobile that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, USB Type-C, Active 4G on both SIM cards and 4G. Sensors on the phone include Face unlock, Fingerprint sensor, Compass Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope.
