best Phone in this range. this is not suitable to use android users, Lumia has individual system which would not like android users. not a good camera rear and front .

great phone I have been using his phone from 20 days just amazing excellent battery life its gives normally back of 2 days quality screen good gaming experience supports all needed applications best stylish phone sound quality is loud and clear The operating system, Its very nice and felt good. Don't know why, but different from android Last but not the least, People say there are no enough apps in windows store. I use a lot of apps on daily basis (hdfc, icici, flipkart, paytm, mibikwik, games, ebooks). I don't feel the apps are insufficien if you want to get windows phone guys go for it I felt windows far better than android best

Great display quality, presence of glance screen gives it an edge over lumia 730. Quite comfortable in the hand, feels light. Lumia Camera 5 compatible which was reserved for pureview devices before this. Dynamic Flash (Rich Capture) is a really helpful feature. Would have liked a dedicated camera button, there isn't one. Both cameras are very good. Flawless performance, no lags 1 year free subscription of Office 365 gives you 1 TB of Onedrive storage along with licensed versions of Office 2013 Applications for the desktop. Can't wait for Windows 10 to arrive !! Speakers could be better, sharp sounding, not enough low end. Update : Haven't faced any heating problems while charging. Battery lasts more than a day easily. WhatsApp is the biggest culprit when it comes to battery life. Double Tap to wake, double tap to lock, the new gestures for calls, all work well

it's a very pretty phone. Nice features. Many creative things to do with camera. The front camera is just 1 Megapixel but but it's super good. The phones design is perfect and looks awesome when put on a table. No lags experienced by me,everything is smooth and neatly organised in this windows phone. The phones display is awesome and HD. Call quality is perfect. Fast web browsing along with integrated skype,office 365 is a perfect package. The best thing according to me is that the transistions between menus,interface is so so fluidic and smooth!! Battery backup is also pretty good. I have used many phones of different operating systems,but this one really stands out. The price is also very reasonable. One more thing to flaunt when you have this phone is the new Microsoft logo. It really looks good. All in all such a nice new brand name, no-lags,loaded with features,beautiful design,beautiful display is all you need. why buy some other costly phone when you get all the beauty you need in the new microsoft lumia 640.

Got the delivery in 3 days. Everything seems fine upto now. Phone feels like a feather on my palm. Touch, camera, display everything is awesome. One small glitch is when I switch off my phone and want to charge it , it gets on automatically. Is anyone else experiencing this or there is some settings in which I can turn the same off? Please help..

I switched from Moto G2 to Lumia 640. Scores over Moto G: Big beautiful display, super smooth touch without lag, excellent primary camera, Windows OS is way better than Android. Scores below Moto G: Miss some of the Apps from Android like Uber, Bigbasket, Youtube, etc. The back cover seems a little flimsy, will need to buy a good quality cover.

A marvellous phone in this price range1 Pros: - Extremely light wieght - tremendous camera with a host of feautres selfie cam is 0.9 MP , so don't go on its number it is too good . - as of now battery is performing very good - extremely smooth and hasslefree working, no resume screens anywhere - lovely glossy finish - very rich display Cons : (only my pesonal wishes ) - it should have a dedicated camera button for such a nice camera - navigations buttons should have been printed i mean not on swipe basis if anything makers can do more at almost no cost is a dedicated camera button and navigation buttons may be a cyan colo windows button will add to its beauty alot overall i am fully contented to have bought this :)

Excellent response, magnificent performance, seamless UI, just inexplicable. It beats any android phone by miles. Android is a dud in terms longevity and value for money. A phone one can trust.

The biggest doubt i had before buying this phone was about the front camera. But, It clicks amazing selfies because of its HD resolution. I have not faced any issue till now (using it for the 5th day). No lag and we dont even need to consider about heating problem because there is absolutely no heating at all. Back camera is awesome. Battery gives backup for more than a day even if we use the phone for most of the time. Flipkart delivered it within one day. Everythng seems good about this phone. Amazing product from microsoft. Waiting for windows 10...

I ordered this product right after its release in India. Delivery time was 3 days which is completely acceptable. Lumia 640 is absolutely stunning windows gadget by Microsoft. Screen experience is so fluid that you will njoy it like anything. Flip animation tiles are amazing. Battery is extremely good. Overall superb build quality.

Had used two Android phones earlier Galaxy Note and Moto G2 bought them at around 32K and 12K respectively. For both displays are not working anymore and repair cost is too much when compared to new phone buying option. Moto G2 stopped working in just 6 months and service center (in Nashik?) told it is broken and cant come under Warranty and took 300 Rs. to just tell me Display is damaged. Had to change battery for Note for couple of times too. While buying new phone considered options of (Redmi Note 4g, Honor 4x, Yureka Yu, Lenovo (for better battery), Zenphone, Nokia 730 and 535) but settled for this new one. Previously, totally fed up with poor hardware (like I was charging the mobile most of the time) and laggy performance by Android which happens after few months of use and not instantly. It may be because of Apps (quantity/ quality) being installed but has experienced this. Just had few days of use on this phone and now loving it.. Pros: 1. Display is too crisp compared to earlier mobiles 2. Buildwise and lookwise it is great compared to others. 3. Sound quality is good which is always the case with Nokia. 4. Maps work without internet connection once downloaded 5. Battery life is good and it is replaccable too. It is of 2500mAh 6. Pre loaded Apps (News, Money, Flipkart, Food and Drink, Health and Fitness, FoodPanda, News, Sports, Travel, Skype etc.) are excellent and very few will be needed additionally (I anyhow want to keep them minimum for better performance based on past experience) 7. Games offered are too good though battery and memory consuming. It gives great quality experience 8. All emails at a single place is quite helpful to me. 9. Office is far better and very useful software compared to any other 10. Photos captured have some effect as it captures moving facial expression. I think it is part of some Lumia moment. 11. MixRadio, Podcasts are nice apps Cons: 1. YouTube App is not directly supported due to some fight between Google and MS. 2. FB and WhatsApp experience is not exactly same as in Android. But noticed FB is not consuming that much resources as it used to on Android. 3. Cortana is not yet available in India. To be frank I had never used Google Now either. So not sure if will use Cortana that frequently 4. UI Switch from used to Android (which offers customization) to new tile based Windows Phone using total screen layout need some learning curve. Overall till now I am happy with this phone and my decision and can recommend it.

I am Using it for 7 days There is no prolem till now. PROS: 1. Excellent display quality (Gorilla Glass 3, super sensitive touch and Clear black, 50% money worth on display) 2. Quad core snapdragon 400 with 1 GB RAM (No lagging problem n smooth running) 3. Camera 8 MP rear with flash and 1 MP front (it is anough) 4. Brilliant Battery (2500 mAh) Back UP ! CONS: 1. Internal stogare (it should be minimum 16GB for such a mobile of 12K price! ) 2. NO heating Problem generally but it heats up while charging you are browsing the internet (2G)

I think this is the best phone one can buy for 12K in India. Pros: Gorgeous IPS 720p display 2500mAh battery is lasting 1.5 days with moderate usage Looks and feels like a high end phone. Cons: ClearBlack is not that black (which is expected for IPS panel, so no complaints) Software buttons are not that intuitive. I would have preferred separate capacitive buttons Camera specs are not as good as 640 XL version But these cons are justified by the price, so giving it 5 stars.

Great phone, have been using it for a month or so now. Very happy about: - Battery life. I made a day trip out of station recently. Left home at 6AM in the morning, in a full day of use without charging - I made 3-4 calls for around 5-8 mins duration, used my mails and WhatsApp intermittently throughout the day - the battery was still showing at 70% when I returned back home at 11PM in the night. - The call quality. Sounds are loud and clear to me and for the receiving party too. - The screen. Quality screen - very readable and color looks vibrant. no problem in broad daylight and outdoors. - Glance screen. This is both good and bad. The good part - one of the major reason for buying this phone was that it supports 'Glance Screen'. I can see time, new message notifications, whether battery is charging or not without switching on the screen. The Bad is at the end below. - The Matt black back. I love the black phone with matt black plastic back. It gives the phone a 'held back sophisticated' look (like wearing a black suite instead of bright blue one) - goes well in office settings. - The detachable back and SD card support and music player For around 1.5K I bought a 64GB microSD card and now I have a 64GB music player in my pocket always. Transferring my iTunes playlist was seamless (I was an iPod user earlier) using WindowsPhone app on my Mac. Not happy about: - The charger! They decided to pack in a very lame battery charger. Usually mobile chargers are compact and have detachable USB cable, which you can detach and use it as data cable. For 640 they gave a biggish, three pronged charger which has old fashioned power cable permanently attached to it. I didn't end up using it - using a two pronged charger (which has detachable usb cable) from an old phone. - Glance screen. For some %^&* reason, Lumia decided to remove display of dates and detailed notification (example, the details - subject, time, place - of next appointment in your calendar) from Glance Screen. Its there in the older Lumia models but not in this new 640. This was a big disappointment for me personally, but guess will not apply for everybody. But putting this info out there for the folks who are big user of Glance Screen.

you can definitely buy this phone for 2 features 1-battery,2-camera the display is better not bad as lumia 535

Had been using for the last 3 days. absolutely nothing to complain. Touch is butter smooth. Abt,Camera, I wondered earlier what a 0.9 MP front camera would do, but now after using it, wow simplygr8. Lot of unwanted apps like ola cabs, food panda etc... but u can uninstall if you wish no longer. I had done so. Heating is not a major problem. Had faced heating when continuous gaming for more than 2 hours only. Flipkart delivery, awesome, i had received within 2 days of order. A big thumbs UP just 3 words to sum up I LOVE LUMIA640

It has great features such as :- Display quality ( it can not be scratched even with sharp edges knife scissors or any thing else. Clear black display is great which is easy to read in sunlight. There is no need of screen guard or cover. Its a fully protected smartphone . Battery backup is so good it run about 15 to 18 hours on wifi networking. ALSO IT PROVIDE 1000 WALLET CASH ON MOBIKWIK FOR 5 MONTHS OF 200 RUPEES PER MONTH. Thanks to FLIPKART for faster delivery but updation on flipkart website is not fast it takes around 2 to 3 days to update product delivery. Otherwise it best. In this range this phone is so good but if microsoft want to kill android devices then it should be to make more and more features which is not available on android device and also make cheap phone .i have used all brand of android devices but i think this phone is good to buy if you bored with android. This is very good because it gives more battery backup which is very important and display quality. This phone is totaly command prompt. SOMETHING IS BAD :- Multitasking is not good as android. But for multitasking SURFY BROWSER is best for windows phone. This browser can made simultaneously all things as like downloading surfing etc...... Some apps not work better such as mx player sometimes hangup.

I just got the delivery on the same day as I paid extra for it. The phone is really good. Only cons I found was that the headphone quality is very cheap & there's no data cable. Apart from that it's a good phone. I wish the navigation buttons were on the phone body rather on the screen though.

i purchased it after long confusion about which one to choose android lolipop or denim win 8.1 but finally chose this.although being a techgeek i my preferred to take the lenovo a 7000 which is an overpowered phone for money but still everone those who chose to take win phone above android this is undoubtedly the choise.....although this a low powered snapdragon cortex a 7 which is significantly less powerful than an octa core 64 bit cortex a53 but stilll one thing to notice this aint lolipop this is denim win 8.1 from msoft so hardware doesnot matter much in win phone although msoft has provided a 1 gb lpddrx ram along with the adreno 3XX series 305 specific this is a windows beast............camra quality awesome with optical image stabilisation.......sound quality good everything is good except the stupid stock earphones wile i expected microsoft to offer the coloud test earphones with this cute lady...still way to go msoft

I am really very much satisfied by this product. In short, 1. It has louder speakers than Moto G 2nd Gen. 2. It heats up a little (because of summer season), all phones with glass screen heat up. 3. Charging takes a little bit more time as compared to my Lumia 720 (750mA vs 1.5A charger).

Delivered within 2 days. Kudos to flipkart. Coming to the interface, windows provides you the awesome interface. The 8Mp camera with LED flash is a monster. the front facing cam which is 0.9 MP but it clicks really decent selfies provides HD skype calls which i loved the most. Embedded with the snapdragon quad core processor which is one of the fastest one which makes the device run smoothly without lagging. The 1GB RAM provides smooth and lag free gaming experience. I use internet almost all night and yet the 2500mA battery gives the advantage of the long battery backup which lasts for almost a day and a half. I would recommend this phone to all. My advice to te android crazed people is that stop buying those 20k phones which doesn't match the class and specs of this phone....

I have used this device for 5 days now. Trust me when I say that I have charged it only 2 times since then. And even as I write this review, the battery is still marked at 29%. The Operating System is very smooth and fast- '0' lags. I don't play much games on phone so can't say about that aspect, but I did play 720p and 1080p videos, and it all worked effortlessly. The display screen is very crisp with great viewing angles. Colours look great, nothing seems washed out. The Camera, well have no doubts, when the build core is NOKIA, cameras are very good (EXCEPT IN LOW LIGHT CONDITIONS), with a lot of apps dedicated for them. The Sound, the speakers are sufficiently loud, and quite clear. The device on the whole is pretty awesome, well built, great design, looks classy. Now the back panel is glossy and leaves a lot of fingerprint marks and same goes with the screen, but I' am sure most of us will be using a cover over the phone, and a screen guard too- so that is cancelled out. Now the app store isn't that bad as many people complain. You get all your important apps in windows phone store - WhatsApp, hike, instagram, facebook, twitter, Skype.... All of the famous games on Android are also here - Candy Crush, Jetpack Joyride, Temple run, asphalt, Subway Surfer............and on and on.. + + the phone comes with a lot of productivity apps preinstalled. ONLY thing I wish was there, is a dedicated camera button, and Printed navigation buttons.
