I bought for travel because light weight.

This laptop is exactly what I need. I have a powerful gaming desktop and I do all the heavy stuff on it. But I need a laptop to use in the meeting and do some lightweight coding on the go. This LG gram is as light as a real notebook. I install Ubuntu on it and every thing works fine except the type-C charging port, since I didn't have a 45W power brick, this is not a big deal for me. Speaking of the battery, I use it on the work and I can even leave the charge in my house and it can still last from 9am to 6am without any problem.However, I have two small complaints:1) The palmrest is kinda loose and create some noise when press it. I fastened the two screws on the bottom and fixed it.2) The speaker is bad. Use headphone.

Having been searching for a light, powerful, beautiful, all-day-battery laptop with not just a single usb c port; it totally fits all my needs. Highly recommended.

So far This Laptop exceeds my expectations. I chose it because I needed something powerful enough yet very portable since I?m traveling a lot.It?s featherlight, feels like a tablet in your hand but gives you everything you need from a decent laptop.Contrary to some reviews, it?s built quality is great and it hasn?t had any technical issues at all. I dare to say that it?s more durable than most laptops out there. It even looks better than I expected in real life.I?m very happy with this purchase.

This is the only laptop that I carry daily, and use it as intended. I have a HP Spectre 360, I used it for a month, and stop carrying it. This is very lite, battery is very good for my use case. Some what durable, I carry it in my back pack, almost 2 months so far, still in good shape. I also installed Ubuntu 18.04 on it, work well.

This computer does everything that I want it to do and it is VERY lightweight but, it is a little pricey.

Thrilled at how fast and light this is. I don?t play games on it or anything, but I use it for my business and writing. I frequently have 10+ windows and apps open and it works fast af. I loooooove the backlit keys tooI kinda wish it had a better hot key system though. They?re different from my old windows so I?m learning them again. It?d be cool if Windows allowed customization of keyboard shortcuts.

I can't say enough about this laptop. It's soooo thin and light and still performs well. Doesn't get hot on your lap either. The battery life lasts forever and the screen is bright and colorful. Love the keyboard as well. It's absolutely the best portable laptop I've ever owned.

Purchased 13.3 in (no touchscreen, no fingerprint reader).Beautiful computer! Light weight, durable, fast boot up. I program (compile code a lot), and work remotely often. This computer handles multiple windows/ programs perfectly. GOTTA LOVE THE BATTERY CAPACITY! Can go week without charger, every weekend is spent then trying to find the charger because by then I've forgotten where it is🤣. Left the laptop in the car once and freaked out, I live in FL and with all the heat index records being broken it's a legitimate concern nowadays. The laptop was unharmed, not going to test this again but it's good to know!

I needed a work laptop that I could use for internet and video conferencing. I picked this one because Consumer Reports rated it as high as Apple products, with a much nicer cost. No complaints. Picture and sound quality are excellent, as well as speed and battery life.

Fantastic hardware for the price. This has incredible battery life and a super slim, lightweight body, but it is still very usable day to day. The keyboard keys feel great with just the right amount of travel, and the mousepad and the perfect size and finish.This computer may not be powerful enough to render Toy Story 5 or play hours and hours of games on, but it certainly performs very well for most daily tasks. I'm a photographer by day and have edited thousands of photos running Capture One in this without a hitch.Highly recommend!

I got this laptop with a few key features in mind and it has not disappointed. Though there are some things about it that may put people off:Pros:- Great battery life. I almost never worry about charging it. It makes it through every day with no problem. I don't even bring my charging cable with me anymore.- Super light and relatively durable. Seriously, I love how light the laptop is. That's one of the key things I wanted.- Good ports and good keyboard as far as I'm concerned. Also comes with an ethernet adapter to make up for the lack of an ethernet port.- I personally really like the aesthetic of it (I like white electronics). Plus the cable was white too!Ok:- Decent specs and performance for the price. It seems to underclock the CPU a lot. I haven't really gone deep into it, but there will be minor lag when switching a video to full screen or something similar. Not too big a deal, but it's noticeable.- Touchpad pretty averageCons:- Hinge creaks sometimes. Minor annoyance at worst though.- No touch screen or fingerprint scanner if you care about that (I don't)- Screen doesn't get as bright as I want- Speakers are on the bottom of the laptop which can make the sound muffled when on your lap- Screen gets speckled easily. Just need to wipe it with water regularlyI bought this laptop for the lightness and the long battery life, knowing the downsides and I am not disappointed. Great purchase and I hope to use it for years to come.

Super light although the plastic feels cheap. Not the best display but for my basic needs i'm pleased with it and it is very fast. I do hate the speakers on the bottom because they are muffled with laptop down.

It is a very good laptop. Very light weight and runs great. It's also reliable. The problem is the support and parts replacement. I lost the power adapter. I ordered a compatible adapter from Amazon. The plug that goes into the laptop is too loose and it is black. The original adapter was white and fit snugly. I called LG to order a replacement. They told me to call a Encompass. Encompass told me they don't have the adapter and suggested I look on eBay.

Cons:I have owned this 14' gram for almost a year. Around 6 month in the hinge started getting loose and "floppy" when it is in an upright positions. It hasn't broken and maybe an easy fix but still annoying.The speakers are pretty bad. Too quiet and the sound quality is poor. Manufactures need to stop making laptops with downward facing speakers.Also an annoyance, the screen doesn't get very dark so its a bit hard on the eyes when watching shows in a dark room.Pros:The cooling is actually pretty decent and doesn't get crazy hot when playing games for extended periods.Really good port selection for an ultra portableThe screen quality and touchpad are good.Haven't had any software issues.I fully admit I am hard on my laptops so I've switched back to a Macbook because their build quality is so much better. In my experience they easily last 3X longer.

The screen on this laptop is very bouncy, it should be much sturdier. If I try and touch lighter then it won't recognized I've touched it, very frustrating!

Laptop already doesn?t work well and I?ve only had it for a few months. Screen gets pixelated easily and doesn?t turn on or off correctly. I am disappointed in the quality for the price I paid.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Bought this for my son (for school). After less than 4 mos., the screen goes black. Computer turns on, keyboard lights up but then turns off -- all without screen coming on. It keeps repeating this sequence.We called LG customer service and were told to send the laptop to LG Repair (under warranty). We were also told repair would be less than 1 week from once they receive it. I called today to check the status and now am told it will take ONE MONTH for repair! Very poor customer service -- person on phone just tells me "This is LG policy. Sorry for your inconvenience." Since it will take so long, I requested a replacement -- just send me another laptop/ same model -- but they say they cannot do this without giving me a reason why not. The same model laptop is still being sold on by LG on Amazon. So, bottom line, we are without the laptop for at least a month and my son needs it for school!
