It caught everyone's fancy from the time it was first leaked in a video, and since then, all Android enthusiasts, and especially the ones who swear by the pure stock user interface of the operating system, have been eyeing this smartphone. No prizes for guessing, we're talking about the Nexus 5, Google's new platform showcase device which has been manufactured by Korean electronics giant, LG. It's also the first time that Google has launched its flagship device in the Indian market just weeks after its international launch. The pricing of the phone and the promise of priority software updates makes it an irresistible proposition. So, how does it perform in real world conditions? We put it to test and find out in our review.
Google Nexus 5 Summary
Google Nexus 5 mobile was launched in October 2013. The phone comes with a 4.95-inch touchscreen display offering a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels at a pixel density of 445 pixels per inch (ppi). Google Nexus 5 is powered by a 2.26GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. It comes with 2GB of RAM. The Google Nexus 5 runs Android 4.4 and is powered by a 2300mAh non-removable battery.
As far as the cameras are concerned, the Google Nexus 5 on the rear packs 8-megapixel camera. It sports a 1.3-megapixel camera on the front for selfies.
Google Nexus 5 is based on Android 4.4 and packs 16GB of inbuilt storage. The Google Nexus 5 is a single SIM (GSM) mobile that accepts a Micro-SIM card. The Google Nexus 5 measures 137.84 x 69.17 x 8.59mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 130.00 grams. It was launched in Black and White colours.
Connectivity options on the Google Nexus 5 include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, Bluetooth v4.00, NFC, Wi-Fi Direct, 3G, and 4G. Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, barometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and compass/ magnetometer.

Great phone at an exceptional price.Abcd Sdf (May 6, 2014) on Gadgets 360First of all ,I will list down the pros of nexus 5. 1. Pure unadulterated android version,although somewhat you feel like its more of Google. 2.Exceptionally fast processor and bright full hd display. 3.First one to receive latest android updates. 4.Last but not the least,Best value for money phone available in the market in this range. The cons- 1.Average battery life. 2.No slot for external memory card, although you can get the 32 GB version also. 3.Not great camera. All I can say is,if you are ok with its battery life and camera,then just buy this phone,I guarantee you will not regret it.Is this review helpful?

Very dissapointed with GoogleG Morris (Mar 16, 2015) on Gadgets 360I bought 3 brand new Nexus 5 from google. 1 1/2 years later two are still working but have had an issue with one from the start. 6 months after buying the phone would not start up. I contacted Google and they said send it back. I did and received a refurbished phone back. Six months after that the phone would try to start up and but never start. Talked to Google on phone, did what they said and it still would not start. Sent it back like they said, this time they said PowerFreeze issue and wanted me to pay $189. They said their technical department said physical damage to phone. Phone was in exact shape when rec'd, perfect condition. Also PowerFreeze is a common complaint for this phone. Will never do business with Google again as long as I live.Is this review helpful?
