  I saw this in a showroom and got very impressed, cost was around 13k more than what flipkart shows(55K currently 08/08/2014). I very eager to order but the sad part is WS retail is not interested in delivering any TV's to Chennai location. Oh God what does Chennai people done to WS Retail.

  This LED is such an amazing LED from LG with lots of amazing features at such a good price. Being a smart tv ur smartphone too can be too useful as it can be used as remote by lg remote tv app and ur phobe can be a mini tv. U can watch all your videos and music of your phone through tv using nfc or dlna. No problem with the TV till now and service by flipkart is also very good. So if you wish to purchase this go for it.

• Good buy, if you dislike Motion Smoothing. Else, get the 47LN5400.

  I purchased this product from Flipkart, and it was delivered in 2 days as promised, and installed the next day by an LG technician. Kudos to Flipkart for coordinating the delivery and installation in a very efficient & professional manner. This TV has an IPS panel, and it is evident in the impressive viewing angles. Picture quality in general is excellent, though I am yet to perform any calibration on the panel. Sound is also good for a flat panel TV, though it understandably lacks in bass performance. Recommended that you get a separate sound system (2.1 set at minimum) The Smart features are not great - the TV gets quite sluggish in apps. It is much better to connect a laptop via hdmi for doing general purpose work/streaming videos/casual gaming/internet browsing. Couple the laptop with a wireless keyboard trackpad like the Logitech K400, and you're well set. If you have a Smartphone/tablet, you don't need the Magic Remote - your phone/tablet will work well enough. This model has the option to reduce or turn off the Motion smoothing 'enhancement'. In my opinion, the Motion Smoothing makes the picture look very artificial. The ability to turn off this option was what led me to purchase this model, instead of the lower priced non-smart version (LG 47LN5400). As per online reviews, the LN5400 does not have the option to turn off the Motion smoothing option. Note that the LN5400 also has an IPS panel, like the LN5710. On warranty - its a 1 year warranty, which I find ridiculous on a product that is so expensive. Doesn't LG (or Samsung/Sony for that matter) believe in their product enough to give a 2-3 year warranty? Or is this a ploy to make us spend more money on extended warranty plans? Expect to pay Rs 6500 additional to get a comprehensive 2 year warranty. Bottomline - This is a good TV, and I would recommend it if you get the Flipkart 15% discount, and also dislike Motion Smoothing. If you can live with Motion Smoothing, get the non-smart version(LG 47LN5400). It is a better deal, as the Smart features of the LN5710 are not usable in the real world.
