Perfect for traveling, no bloatware

I love Lenovo products. They're better quality than other brands, and if something isn't working right, support in Atlanta is top-notch. I very rarely have to wait on hold, and replacement parts are sent quickly. This is a very good travel laptop. It's small enough to pack, but has a durability that makes me think it can survive the rigors of travel. It has some weight to it, but not enough for me to consider it heavy. It has a chiclet-style keyboard and is not full-size, but that is expected for a 13". In terms of outputs, it is rather no frills. It doesn't have any hdmi or vga output ports, but you should be able to use the thunderbolt 3/usb type-c port to achieve this. This may be a deal-breaker for some who might connect their laptop to projectors or other screens frequently, and don't want to transport any adapters. This laptop also does not have a touchscreen, like some other laptops of this size. The laptop does make up for those "shortcomings" with its back-lit keys, a fingerprint scanner that allows for quick and easy sign-ins, and its solid construction. Another big positive is that while it has a Lenovo app that offers software/apps, it doesn't auto-install useless bloatware or crippling antivirus software that most people don't want.

This is an excellent laptop. It is ultra thin and ultra light. It has plenty of processing power for normal computer use, and the battery lasts all day.The fold flat feature is pretty nice as it gives a bit more flexibility than an ordinary computer. Fan noise can be a bit loud at times, so if you are looking for a dead quiet computer you might need to look elsewhere. But the fan is not constantly on, so it is not a huge deal (and it is just a pleasant white noise whooshing sound). The screen is excellent quality and has superb resolution. Movies and shows look great on it.The keys are a bit squishy to me, but I primarily use a docked laptop with a mechanical keyboard, so any non-mechanical feels weird to me. The keyboard is certainly no deal breaker, and the keys are all responsive and have no issues. Trackpad took a bit of getting used to as it is apparently divided into sections with different functionality than I am used to. Once learned, it is a breeze to use.

While I was setting up this laptop for my personal use, I was also setting up another well-known brand laptop for work. This Lenovo was quicker and easier to set up, much more user friendly. As a personal laptop, I use it for writing, email, web surfing and downloading pictures so I don?t need every bell and whistle? however, this has some special features such as a fingerprint scanner, lighting fast speed and a long battery life.I miss the CD/DVD player but I?m told this feature is becoming outdated with the use of thumb drives which can hold a more memory in less space. Also, most DVD?s are now available online. (This feature is not on my new work laptop either.)It?s lightweight and travels well. Fits easily into my back pack, suitcase or even a large purse to take wherever I choose. With the two USB ports and an SD card reader, I can plug in a cell phone, a thumb drive and a memory card from camera at the same time. This allows downloading pictures to the thumb drive while charging the cell phone.
