Very Nice

Bought this from lenovo offline store. i cant trust online retailers.This is the best laptop. Screen is not flimsy like that of dell latitude or vostro series.Disk utilisation goes high many times. But this is the case with every other laptop these days. Therefore, replace disk with ssd. best for programming

No issues in the laptop. the display is a bit let down, but it's not a problem for me cos I don't play games or too much into movies. the finger scanner is a really good feature. the keyboard is really good and so is the touchpad with multi-gesture. the double tap on touch pad works as the left click of a mouse, so u don't really need to press any of the buttonsperformance is good. top of the laptop is very very silky smooth. Battery backup is good.Amazon delivery was fast

I have been using this laptop for over 2 years. It gives me a battery life of 4 hours with heavy programming. I am running 2 VMs on this.Sound quality is very good and the camera is quite good.I recommend this laptop for hardcore programming.There is only one addition that I made after the warranty period was over to increase the memory to 16 GB. It was very fast earlier. Now it is lightning fast

I'll come straight to the point.Pro:- Matte Finish on the screen, makes it easier to work overall.- Keys are spread out well and comfortable for most part and has a comforting click to it which isn't too loud for silent areas.- TrackPad is good and responsive. I'm coming from a water drowned Mac Book Pro, there is no comparison Apple's Track pad and this, they are worlds apart specially the software part.- Battery life is quite decent. Lasts 5 Hours for normal office work and maybe 4 - 4.5 hours for media and lesser for games.Con:- No keyboard backlight. Which is a bummer.- No CD / DVD Drive. I was in a hurry to buy a new laptop so didn't pay attention to this. Got an Asus External DVD Drive. Considering most of us are off CD DVDs it's no deal breaker.- No OS loaded so you better be ready with a working bootable Linux USB.- Screen is bluish. And has absurd contrast. So it's a no-no for Media Editors.- Only 4 GB Ram. for the price I'm reasonably expectant of atleast 8 GB.That's all folks !

Its a nice sturdy laptop for everyday use

Robust laptop, I purchased it offline for a slightly higher price than here, got 4 GB additional RAM, using this with LUbuntu, for programming my personal projects I've created a Oracle VirtualBox VM with LUbuntu and I haven't seen any degrade in performance.It has HDMI and VGA connectivity, programming, videos, browsing have been amazing, I wouldn't think this is a good choice for gaming. Sound quality is also good.Go for it, if you are* not going behind looks and style* not looking for gaming* not looking for slim and light weightI'm rating this 4 because, laptop looks slightly bulgy and it comes with only 4 GB RAM

I recently purchased the Lenovo Thinkpad E470. Although mine came with a Core-i3 processor.Pros:- Sturdy build quality: This thing is like a tank.- Fingerprint sensor helps with the sign in process instead of typing your password all the time.- Keyboard and Trackpad are simply awesome to use.- Decent battery life - got around 6 - 7 hours of work out of this laptop doing random things.Cons:- HDD - the harddisk that comes standard is 5400 rpm and that thing is slower than a snail. Once you get used to an SSD, there is no going back. I bought an SSD and swapped out the drive immediately.- Display - this is one of my major concerns in this laptop. It is a TN panel with downright abnoxious viewing angles. There is only one angle that works right. Viewing from any other angle is pure garbage. Even though the resolution is not full hd, it is manageable. But the displays is one of the biggest drawbacks of this laptop.

Get a MacBook Air for little more money. This product is over priced.

Hi,By the name "Thinkpad" i got deceived.Only Cons i will list as many are there for writing its Pro.1. Excessive heating as there are not any Ventilations vents on the side, they are only beneath the laptop(which generally gets covered by the table) therefore making it to heat.2. My system was sluggish, slow n hangs from the Day 1 only(100% Disk Utilization).Took the help of technical team, they were not able to resolve the sluggishness(made me to reinstall win10 many times but still problem didnt resolve). Finally somehow they said there might be some issue with HDD.After replacing the HDD, issue is still not resolved. Moreover the replacement HDD was even slower n was heating excessivly n has got higher amperage to work than the factory fitted HDD so sent back the replacement HDD. Engineers cannot do the actual diagnosis n cannot find out the actual reason . They have tried changing all setting with system,bios,disabling services, virtual mem,regedit n many more but cannot trace out the actual reason for its slowness(100%) disk utilizations on idle mode coz of this you cannot work on system, it hangs badly.3. Lenovo support is big time riddle, u try to keep on solving it n it will become more complicated.Therefore cannot expect quality service from them.4. Material used is Matte but it catches fingerprints everywhere so nicely tht u need to sit with a cleaning cloth evertym n its slippery too.This was not my expectations from the Thinkpad i5, 7th gen.Note- If there is anyone interested in buying it pls let me know, its with 2 yrs ONSITE extended warranty. Totally 3 years including Onsite+Base Warranty n valid till March,2020.

E470 model is the worst of all time and costs around 40k. I ordered two laptops and both of them are very sluggish. Utterly disappointed. Don't purchase this even for 15k.

The performance of the product was not as ThinkPad are known for. I received the product with already defective WiFi card. Do I spend to 45k for already defective product. The support from seller was good but the product was not.

The battery is poor, it does'nt last for 10 mins.
