It was almost exactly one year ago that we reviewed the Lava Iris Pro 30 (Review | Photos), a phone that we thought looked good but performed below par. Even though it was very obviously iPhone-inspired, it had an appeal of its own. Performance wasn't too great, but overall the device offered a fair balance of features and aesthetics.
Lava Iris X8 Summary
The Lava Iris X8 looks just like its predecessors, the Iris Pro 30 and Iris Pro 20. However, it has updated internals, a bigger screen, and a much lower price. This phone goes up against some pretty strong contenders in the market and its biggest advantage will be the fact that it isn’t available only through flash sales. Everything is as expected for a 5-inch device with an octa-core Mediatek MT6592 SoC in terms of performance, but in our testing, photos taken with its camera came out surprisingly badly. Battery life was good, so if you can overlook the camera problem, this could be a decent option in the sub-Rs. 10,000 price band.

Iris X8 a capable allrounder.Kishore Holla (Feb 13, 2015) on Gadgets 360Got the New LAVA Iris X8 yesterday and have to say that the phone is loaded with features and the 2GB RAM is certainly helping it to keep faster. I also use a Galaxy S3 and doesn't hesistate to say that Iris X8 is in PAR with regards to its capabilities on the speed and applications support. Phone has got good battery backup and should see as to how long will it last over a certain period of usage. The camara clarity is good and the same with the voice clarity and picture resolution. For the price that its launched its one sure shot grab and serves all the purpose. A good phone indeed.Is this review helpful?

An all rounder phone ( After a LOLLIPOP update)Swapnilkumar Rane (Oct 15, 2015) on Gadgets 360before update it runs quite well. camera was an average UI was decent enough(image sizes upto 3 Mb).sometimes issue in the volume of speakers. After installing an update it runs very good. camera performance increased (image size is in the range of 10 Mb). camera is not 8 MP its 10 MP. all the software related issues are solved. lava iris X8 L is very good in all the aspects. thumbs up for lava for this awesome update. update is arround 700Mb but all the related issue in a software wre solved......Is this review helpful?

Kaafi mast baat hai yeh hi inke phone hi phone nikalte rehte hai market mein jab dekho? meine bhi use kare hai lekin who ek purana model tha Ivory tablet ka aur pasand toh kaafi aya ? use ko dekh ke mein keh raha hu ki mujhe naya phone chaiye wo bhi Lava se hi?
