The company had launched the first generation of Series 9 notebooks about a year ago and Samsung claims the current Series 9 notebooks has "the world's thinnest and most compact notebook chassis". It has a 13-inch screen, and measures 12.9mm and weighs just 1.16kg, which is 28 percent smaller than its predecessor. Priced at Rs. 1,02,990, it comes with Intel Core i7 1.90GHz quad-core processor, 4GB RAM, 256GB solid state drive (SSD), and claims to give battery backup of up to 9 hours.
As a comparison, you can buy a 13-inch MacBook Air with a generation old Intel Core i5 1.8GHz dual-core processor, identical 4GB RAM and 256GB SSD for Rs. 99,900.

The refined aerodynamic design of the new Series 9 represents the best of Samsung's design with top performance and functionality."
Apart from this high-end notebook, Samsung also showcased the Notebook Series 5 550P. This notebook comes with Intel's 3rd generation quad-core processor, NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 2GB graphics card, JBL optimised speakers with subwoofer, Blu-ray drive and up to 2TB HDD. This 15-inch model weighs 2.5 kg and is priced at Rs.62,990.
The last product showcased was Samsung Notebook Series 3 350. This notebook sports the 3rd generation Intel Core i7 processor and delivers up to 7 hours of battery life. For optimum mobility, it comes with an anti-reflective display and also has a lightweight and portable design.
Samsung Notebook Series 3 350 will be offered in titan silver, lagoon blue and candy pink colour options and will be priced at Rs.48,490.
"Based on our new Note PC launches and our retail expansion, we are confident of doubling our NotePC business this year", stated Mr. Yadav.
