While all the attention is currently focused on the Windows 10 Creators Update, which is expected to be rolled out in April or May, the release timeline of company's second major Windows 10 update for 2017 has now been revealed by the company. The Redmond-based company has revealed that the second major feature update that was announced for 2017 will be rolled out later this year.

At company's Ignite Conference in Australia, Microsoft shared the timeline for its second major Windows 10 update's release, as pointed out in a report by onMSFT. Even though the company didn't provide any specific dates for the rollout, it has now confirmed that the update should be expected to be rolled out later this year. Notably, the roadmap splits updates into there Windows Insiders Feedback, Release+Pilot, and Production stages, and thus indicates a release just before the end of the year.

To recall Microsoft announced in August last year that the company will be rolling out two major updates for Windows 10 in 2017 but did not provide any timeline for the rollout of the updates.

Even though Microsoft has not provided the details regarding the features that will be rolled out with the second major update, the update might include People Bar (which was recently removed from Creators Update) and Project Neon design language as well, as per the report.

Notably, Windows 10 Creators Update, which is currently being tested by Windows Insiders, brings along tab management to Microsoft Edge browser, Night mode, tab previews for Edge, a dedicated Game Mode, and more to the platform.
