Lenovo has confirmed the launch of its 2-in-1 Yoga Book in India. The company has sent out media invites for an event on Tuesday where it will unveil its 'thinnest' laptop hybrid in the country. To recall, Lenovo unveiled the 2-in-1 Yoga Book earlier this year at IFA 2016. It was launched in both Android and Windows versions.
The Lenovo Yoga Book (Android) was priced at EUR 499 (roughly Rs. 37,300) and it runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow while the Yoga Book (Windows) was priced at EUR 599 (roughly Rs. 44,700) running Windows 10 Pro. As of now, the company has not clarified whether both versions will be available in the market.
Lenovo's Yoga Book is a hybrid device and comes with a Halo Keyboard and a real-pen accessory. The Halo Keyboard is a full touchscreen backlit 'slate-like' keyboard which lacks any physical keys and comes with inbuilt artificial intelligence software which learn the user's typing and navigation habits. The real-pen accessory on the other hand can draw on the halo keyboard just like a real pen. Lenovo at the global launch of the Yoga Book touted that the device was the world's "thinnest and lightest" 2-in-1 laptop hybrid with 9.6mm thickness, and 690 grams weight.
For specifications, the Yoga Book features a 10.1-inch full-HD (1200x1920 pixels) display and is powered by quad-core Intel Atom x5-Z8550 processor coupled with 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM. The device packs 64GB inbuilt storage and supports expandable storage up to 128GB via microSD card.
The device also supports single Nano-SIM and features Dolby Atmos. It sports an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera and a 2-megapixel fixed-focus camera. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, and Bluetooth 4.0. It packs 8500mAh battery.
