The Lenovo G40/G50 is a new entry-level laptop series from the company and starts at Rs. 22,990. The Lenovo Z50 on the other hand starts at Rs. 39,990. Lastly, Lenovo's new all-in-one desktop the C260 starts at Rs. 28,490. All the above laptops and PCs run Windows 8.1.
The Lenovo G40/G50 budget laptop series comes with a choice of fourth generation Intel Core i3 processor or AMD A8 Beema processor, and Nvidia GeForce GT 820M 2GB graphics (GT 840M for G50). Up to 16GB of DDR3L RAM (1600MHz) can be included, and a choice of a 1TB HDD or a 1TB hybrid drive. Apart from an integrated optical drive, the laptop features stereo speakers with Dolby Advanced Audio, USB 3.0 ports, and an SD/MMC card0-reader. Lenovo promises 4 hours of battery life.
The company notes that the Lenovo G40 series budget notebooks are 24.8mm thin and sport a screen size of 14-inch HD (1366x768 pixels). The Lenovo G50 series are 25mm thin and come with a screen size of 15.6-inch HD (1366x768 pixels).
The Lenovo Z50, on the other hand, comes with 15.6-inch HD (1366x768 pixels). It is also powered by Windows 8.1 and is based on fourth generation Intel Core i7-4510U clocked at 2GHz. The Lenovo Z50 also comes with Intec Core i5-4210U clocked at 1.9GHz.
The Lenovo Z50 packs 8GB of DDR3L RAM and comes in 2 storage variants - 1TB HDD or 500GB Hybrid (with 8GB SSHD). There is a 1-megapixel HD webcam onboard the Lenovo Z50, which is rated to deliver up to 5 hours of battery life.
The all-in-one desktop Lenovo C260 comes with a 19.5-inch HD (1600x900 pixels) LED display. The Lenovo C260 runs Windows 8.1 and is powered by a quad-core Intel Pentium JJ2850 clocked at 2.41GHz. The all-in-one desktop comes with 8GB of DDR3 RAM and packs a 1TB HDD.
The other two laptops launched on Tuesday were the Lenovo Yoga 2 (priced at Rs. 59,990), and the Lenovo Flex 2 (priced at Rs. 41,900).
