HP has launched its first ultrabook, the HP Folio13. Featuring a thin and light design, a 9.5 hour battery life, and powered by the latest Intel Core processors, it calls for a very user friendly mobile experience.

The Folio13 is powered by Intel CoreTM i3/ i5 processors and upto 4 GB RAM. It comes with with 128 GB of SSD storage. The Folio13 weighs 1.5 kilos, measures less than 0.75" in height and has a 13.3" diagonal LED Brightview display, which makes portability especially easy. It includes Intel Rapid Start Technology, which provides ultra-low power consumption when not in use and a fast resume time when required. It features a backlit keyboard for mobile users who work at night and in low-light conditions. A full array of ports, including Ethernet and USB 3.0, allows users greater flexibility to connect to the information they need.

Additional features include an HP TrueVision HD Webcam for brighter, cleaner HD images, and Dolby Advanced Audio with dual speakers and an HP triple bass reflex subwoofer. The HP Folio13 can be configured with a range of Microsoft Windows 7 operating systems. An optional TPM Embedded Security Chip protects data in email and information on the hard drive for users.

The HP Folio13 is now available at a starting price of approximately Rs. 69,990.

This comes a day after Wipro unveiled India's slimmest ultrabook.
