Mobile computing and motherboard manufacturer Asus, on Monday announced the launch of their new laptop the Transformer Book Duet (TD 300) at CES 2014. The Transformer Book Duet will be available from March, starting at $599 (roughly Rs. 37,300).

We dream, we dare and we strive to create an effortless and joyful digital life for everyone. Coming back to the device itself, the Asus Transformer Book Duet TD300 boasts of an impressive dual OS. More than that it is the first ever 'quad-mode' laptop and tablet convertible which will allows users to change operating systems at their convenience. Like the original Transformer, this too features a detachable keyboard dock.

The 13-inch display comes with 1366x768 pixel resolution, though it can be bumped up to full-HD in the $699 (Rs. 43,500) or higher options, as noted by the Verge. The base model features 64GB of built-in storage, though top-end models can ordered with up to 1TB of storage, which will be housed in the keyboard dock - which also features additional ports.

The laptop hybrid features the Instant Switch Technology, which allows for the switch between either Android 4.1 Jelly Bean or Windows 8.1 in four seconds. Users can use an actual key, while in laptop mode or a virtual one on the tablet.

The TD300 is powered by an Intel 'Haswell' Core i7 processor. The company claims that it runs twice as fast compared to other tablets with ARM processors. The audio on the TD300 is aided by the SonicMaster technology with built-in dual speakers on either sides of the tablet. Stay in touch with the latest from CES 2014, via our CES page.
