More Chromebooks are set to enter the market as Asus on Tuesday announced two new Chrome OS-enabled laptops dubbed as Asus C200 and C300. The announcement comes one day after Lenovo announced its two new consumer-facing Chromebooks - the N20 and N20p.

The Asus C200 and Asus C300 Chromebooks sport Intel's new Bay Trail-M chipsets, which Intel says would provide much improved battery life. Starting with a $250 price tag, the two new Chromebooks are said to begin shipping in North America by the end of June, as per Anandtech.

Both Asus Chromebooks share almost similar specifications with minor differences in the devices' display, dimensions and weight.

While the Asus C200 sports an 11.6-inch LED-backlit glossy screen with a 1366x768 pixel resolution, the Asus C300 features a 13.3-inch LED backlit non-glossy display with the same resolution. The C200 Chromebook measures 12x7.9x0.8 inches and weighs around 1.1kg, and the C300 Chromebook measures 13x9.1x0.8 inches with a weight of 1.4kg.

Both the freshly introduced Asus Chromebooks share the same Intel Bay Trail-M dual processor N2830 clocked at 2.42GHz; Chrome OS; 720p HD front-facing webcam; 2GB of RAM; and 16GB of internal storage. The connectivity options include 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band Wi-Fi; Bluetooth 4.0; one USB2.0 port; one USB3.0 port; HDMI 1.4, and a SD card slot.

On Monday, Lenovo also launched two new Chromebooks, N20 and N20p for $279 (roughly Rs. 16,700) and $349 (roughly Rs. 20,900) respectively.

The Lenovo N20 and N20p Chromebooks are the company's first consumer-facing Chromebooks, with its previous offerings meant for the education market. The two laptops carry the same internal specifications with some differences when it comes to the device's screen. Both laptops sport 11.6-inch, 1366x768pixel resolution however, the N20p has a 10-point multi-touch screen and also comes with a convertible design and hinge where the display rotates up to 300 degrees.
