Asus had earlier launched 11.6-inch ASUS Taichi 21 in October 2012. Apparently the feedback regarding the battery life ASUS Taichi 21 was not very favourable, so the company decided to change it with the successor.
Taichi 31 claims to deliver 7 hours of battery life as opposed to 5 hours battery life of Taichi 21. In its official announcement Asus has not mentioned the official price for Taichi 31. However, it is expected to be north of $1,300, which is the price of the base model of Asus Taichi 21.
Asus Taichi 31 does come with a unique form factor, however at 13.3-inch it will be difficult to include this ultrabook cum tablet in the "most portable" devices list.
There is no word on India pricing or launch date as yet of Asus Taichi 31 - we don't expect the device to be launched in India anytime soon.
