Asus Launches New Lineup of ROG Gaming Laptops and Desktops in India

Asus, after launching its ZenBook Windows 10 flagship laptops last month, has now launched four more laptops and two desktop PCs under its ROG (Republic of Gamers) series for gamers.

The laptops launched are ROG G752VY, ROG GL552VW, ROG G551VW, and the ROG G501VW, priced at Rs. 1,79,990, Rs. 82,490, Rs. 1,00,490, Rs. 95,490 respectively. The gaming PCs lineup includes the ROG G20CB and the ROG GT51 costing Rs. 1,22,990 and Rs. 3,25,900 respectively.

The Asus ROG G752VY (seen above) as per the Taiwanese tech firm features a "revolutionary" design with a Armor Titanium and Plasma Copper colour finish. The Windows 10-based laptop is powered by a 6th Generation Intel Skylake Core i7 processor and can support up to 64GB of RAM along with the Nvidia GeForce GTX 980m GPU. It sports a 17.3-inch full-HD (1920x1080 pixels) resolution IPS display along with the support for up to 2TB HDD (at 5400 RPM). It has an HD webcam and a backlit anti-ghosting gaming keyboard with 30-key rollover. The laptop is backed by a 6000mAh battery as well.

The Asus ROG G501VW features a 15.6-inch IPS display with support for up to UHD (3840x2160 pixels) resolution and 178-degree viewing angle. It is powered by the same Intel 'Skylake' Core i7 processor, clubbed with up to 16GB of DDR4 RAM and Nvidia GTX960M GPU. It is slim at 20.6mm and weighs 2.06 kgs. The audio is powered by the company's SonicMaster and ROG AudioWizard technology. The laptop can also support up to 1TB HDD (5400rpm) and has a HD webcam.

The Asus ROG G551VW is another high-performance gaming laptop from the company that comes with a silent cooling system. The Windows 10 laptop features the same display specs as the ROG G501VW along with the same Nvidia GPU. It can support up to 2TB HDD 5400 RPM and is powered by an Intel chipset. Audio and some other features remain roughly the same as the G501VW.

The Asus ROG GL552VW (seen above), as per the company "is targeted for the users who desire powerful notebooks with high performance gaming grade hardware in a stylish and compact package." The Windows 10 laptop features a 15.6-inch display but with a support for up to IPS full-HD (1920x1080 pixels) resolution only. Running the same chipset as the ROG G501VW, ROG GL552VW supports up to 32GB SDRAM and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M GPU. It can also house up to 1TB HDD along with 128GB SSD, and features a webcam as well.

As for the desktop gaming PCs, the ROG GT51 (seen below) is powered by the Intel 'Skylake' Core i7-6700K processor (8MB Cache, 4 cores, 4 threads, 4GHz base frequency, 4.2GHz burst frequency) and supports up to Nvidia GeForce GTX Titax X (2-way SLI). "ROG Turbo Gear lets users maximize GT51's full overclocking potential with just one click, while the Asus-exclusive Aegis II application helps monitor system parameters," adds the firm. There is a USB 3.1 Type-C connector as well.

The ROG G20CB is the company's console-sized 9.5-liter gaming desktop that includes 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch slots for SSDs and HDDs. The gaming desktop supports the latest M.2 PCIe Gen 3x4 SSD, features NVidia GTX 980 GPU and exclusive Asus ROG Aegis II software with GameAlive for instant gameplay recording, editing, and streaming. It also comes with GameFirst III software for network traffic management.
