Just ahead of Computex 2016, Acer has unveiled two new 2-in-1 devices
running on Windows 10. The Switch V 10, and Switch One 10 both come
with detachable keyboards and run on quad-core Intel Atom processors.
The
Switch V 10 will be out later in the year for $249, while the Switch
One 10 will be available in Metallic Grey colour variant from July for
$199. The Acer Switch V 10 offers many colour options, and will be
available in Pearl White, Shale Black, Coral Red, Peacock Blue, and Navy
Blue.
The detachable keyboard lets the consumer use the devices
like a tablet or a laptop. One of the biggest difference between the two
laptops is that the Switch V 10 offers a fingerprint sensor, and sports
a USB Type-C port.
The Acer Switch V 10 features a 10.1-inch IPS
display, dual cameras on the back and front, and battery life that's
claimed to last up to 9 hours. The Acer Switch One 10 offers HD display
for multimedia viewing, front and back cameras, and a battery life that
lasts upto 8 hours.
Acer also unveiled the 14-inch TravelMate P249
and 15.6-inch TravelMate P259 notebook series, powered by Intel
sixth-generation CPUs, and fingerprint reader support. The two laptops
will be available later this year starting at $599.
In April, Acer
launched 10 products including laptops, 2-in-1s, a Chromebook, Predator
gaming devices, a smartphone, a fitness band, and more. At its New York
